INSULATED ACCESS AND INSPECTION DOOR AND DOOR-FRAME ASSEMBLIES FOR INDUSTRIAL FURNACES

Mark Description:

The mark consists of a three dimensional, visible configuration of exterior portions of a door and door-frame assembly. More specifically, the mark consists of the overall, three-dimensional configuration and visual impression made by exterior portions of the assembly's pivotally connected door and doorframe. The doorframe has a generally rectangular plate-like body having a substan-tially flat front surface that extends 1) between opposed, substantially flat, substantially vertically extending side surfaces that extend rearwardly from the front surface, and 2) between opposed top and bottom ends defined along a majority of their lengths by plate-like flange formations that are of substantially equal length, that are of substantially uniform, generally rectangular cross-section, and that extend substantially horizontally and forwardly from the front surface of the plate-like body. The doorframe also has a generally cylindrical port defining structure that extends forwardly from the front surface and substantially coaxially about an imaginary central axis extends away from a central region of the front surface at a slight upward incline, having 1) a first cylindrical portion of relatively large diameter having a first cylindrical outer surface that extends co-axially about the imaginary axis from the front surface to an annular end surface that extends generally in a plane that perpendicularly intersects the imaginary axis, and 2) a second cylindrical portion of relatively smaller diameter having a second cylindrical outer surface that extends forwardly from the annular end surface. The doorframe also has a spaced pair of hinge arms of generally L-shaped cross-section that extend forwardly from the front surface at locations near one of the side surfaces. The door has a substantially flat circular front-most surface that extends in a plane substantially perpendicular to the imaginary axis when the door is closed, and a cylindrical side surface that joins with the perimeter of the front-most surface and extends rearwardly therefrom for a short distance substantially coaxially about the imaginary axis. The door also has a spaced pair of hinge arms of generally rectangular cross-section that extend away from one side of the cylindrical side surface and into overlying engagement with portions of the hinge arms of generally L-shaped cross-section, and has a U-shaped handle with opposed legs of the U-shaped handle being connected by a curved-plate-like member to an opposite side of the cylindrical side surface, with a curved central portion of the U-shaped handle extending forwardly relative to the circular front surface of the door.
