The mark consists of a circular emblem containing two large rings and two small rings set upon a five-pointed star. The inner most circle features the wording "US" with a small circle between the letters. Around the inner circle is a larger circle featuring eighteen small circles. Outside this circle is a five point star. Surrounding the star is a wreath which is bordered by a larger circle. Outside this circle is a larger circle featuring the word "AMERICAN" at the top and "LEGION" at the bottom, surrounded by a decorative border featuring lines and zigzag edges, all superimposed over two crossed rifles. Two five point stars are located to the right and left of the crossed rifles, with the words "JUNIOR SHOOTING SPORTS" between the crossed rifles.
