The mark is a sound. It begins with the metallic swoosh of a sword being sheathed playing simultaneously with an amplified human breath swell/whoosh, and is followed immediately by a musical bed in the key of D, consisting of a low analog synthesizer note sounding the D two octaves below middle C, a thick ethereal synthesizer pad sound spelling the "chord" D major 9 (in root position starting on the D above middle C, consisting of the notes D, F sharp, A, C sharp, and "E"), a bowed guitar swell spelling a D "chord" with no third spanning two octaves beginning two octaves below middle C, and a portamento synthesizer sound that glissandos down two octaves from the D an octave above middle C, to the D an octave below middle C. On top of this bed the signature four note melody plays. It consists of the D an octave above middle C, to the A a sixth above middle C, to the B two octaves above middle C, to the A two octaves above middle C. The "melody" is played by a combination of electric piano, a synthesizer lead sound and a glockenspiel, which doubles the melody an octave above.
